17/May - Activities Days

On the 24th & 25th May all of our S1 - S3 pupils have the opportunity to take part in various activities. These activities vary from a trip to Barcelona to a one-day trip to the Apple Store in Aberdeen. Other activites on offer this year included: Horse Riding, Codona's, Lochter Outdoor Sports, Transition Extreme, Alton Towers, Paintballing, PamperZone, Jewellery Making, Edinburgh Zoo, Football, Film Making, Guitar Workshop, Golf, Landmark, Pottery, Marine Rescue, Ready Steady Cook and more.

15/May - John Muir Trust

All S1 pupils are taking part in various activities this week in Dunlethen Woods. A number of environmental activities are carried out both at the Woods and here at school over the course of 4 days. Pupils receive the John Muir Trust Award on completion.

14/May - S1 Litter Pick

 

All of our S1 pupils took part in a litter pick on Thursday 10th May. The pupils went to various locations within Laurencekirk throughout the day to clear litter

16/Apr - Les Misérables

Les Misérables tickets go on general release from Tuesday 1st May. Bookings can be made using a booking form available from the school. Ticket cost - £10.

Performances 7.30 pm, Mon 18th - Fri 22nd June.

16/Feb - Parental Access to Accelerated Reader

Parental Access to Accelerated Reader

Parents and guardians of all S1 pupils can now access the Literacy Development package, Accelerated Reader, which Mearns Academy uses to promote and monitor reading development with S1 and S2 pupils. If you require details on how the programme works, how to access the online package and how you can also support the reading development of your child,  then please contact the School Librarian, Mr Paterson for further information.
