01/Feb - Unicef Day For Change 2012
We will be holding a 'dress as you please day' on Wed 8th Feb in aid of UNICEF Day for a Change 2012 - Education through Sport. Wear your PE / sporty gear and pay £1 donation to tutors. To find out more about how your money can help, see the display in the Library.
Mearns Academy will again be running a bus to this event on Saturday 28th April. Over the past few years the participation of our pupils has been widely recognised by the authority. If you would like to challenge yourself to beat last years time or take part for the first time, the cost is £7. Please collect a letter from reception for full details.
Now that the dust has settled after the successful launch of the Easter 2012 Trip to Barcelona, it emerges that we have enough pupils who would like to go to America in the October Holiday, 2013. The trip is definitely going to happen.
There are thirty five cowpokes going to the USA . Universal Studios, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Downtown L.A., Las Vegas Baby, Hoover Dam, Stratosphere, Route 66, The Grand Canyon, Hummer Tour, Cowboy Ranch with those big Cactii, Riding the Trail, shooting the breeze, Kayaking and some shopping here we come. There is still a few days in which latecomers can sign up, price approx £2100 for eleven brilliant days.
